On June 30, 2014 was held in Rome at the NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF AGRICULTURAL ECONOMICS (INEA), Via Nomentana n. 41, a Seminar organized within the project "Promotion of Peasant Culture," in collaboration with the INEA Observatory on agricultural policies of the EU, entitled:
"GROWING IN THE CITY '. Urban and suburban agriculture IN METROPOLITAN AREAS. THE CASE OF ROME"
The relationship between agriculture and the city inspires a new interest among researchers and operators of agricultural, but also among those sectors of society that are working to find innovative solutions to the increasingly complex needs of the young people, families, elderly, and immigrants interested in new forms of food production. INEA is organizing a seminar to examine the subject of agriculture in urban and suburban areas, focusing both on the commercial farms that produce in urban settings and both on the many experiences of the local communities, about urban renewal, teaching, social cohesion in metropolitan areas during recent years.
