"L'agroalimentare abruzzese tra crisi e crescita" is the topic of the workshop to be held on Friday, July 19th at 9.30 am at the Faculty of Biosciences and Agro-Food and Environmental Technologies of the University of Teramo, in Mosciano Sant'Angelo, via Carlo Clerici 1.

The seminar is organized by Agire Scarl (the consortium of small and medium-sized firms that manages the agro-food innovation Center in Abruzzo) together with the University of Teramo and INEA (National Institute of Agricultural Economics). It represents an opportunity to illustrate data about the latest "Report on the agro-food system in Abruzzo".

The agenda includes, at 9.30 am, opening with greetings by Luciano D'Amico, rector of the University of Teramo; Dario Compagnone, dean of the Faculty of Biosciences and Environmental and Agro-Food Technologies; Salvatore Di Paolo, chairman of Polo Agire; Alberto Manelli, Director General of INEA; Alfredo Castiglione, Vice-President and Councillor for Economic Development in Abruzzo; Mauro Febbo, Councillor for Agriculture and Rural Development in Abruzzo.

The opening will be held by Donatantonio De Falcis, CEO of Polo Agire and, thereafter, at around 10.00 am, Emilio Chiodo will present some reports (he's a researcher at the University of Teramo "The agro-food industry and the macroeconomic"). He will be followed by Marco Gaito, a researcher at the regional office of INEA in Abruzzo ("The economic results of farms"); Maria Angela Perito, a researcher at the University of Teramo ("The foreign trade and food consumption"); Andrea Fantini, head of the Laboratory of Economics and Agro-Business Marketing at the University of Teramo ("The innovative processes in the food industry"); Beatrice Camaioni, a researcher at the regional office of INEA in Abruzzo ("The policies for the agro-food sector in the new EU programming").

The closure of the session is scheduled at 12.00 with the participation of Alessandra Pesce, manager of the Macro-Economic Analysis Department at INEA.
