An agricultural system is sustainable if the overall impacts produced do not hamper the ecosystem to regenerate. The INEA work group on sustainable production methods reviews numerous examples of social responsibility applied to the agro-food system divided per macro-areas. These can contribute to the development of rural areas and allow agriculture to combine within the local economic system by producing food products and preserving the territory. Furthermore, such processes are in line with the communitarian rural development policy implemented at the national and regional level.
