The conference aims to be an opportunity to present the results of a research of INEA on "The policy governance in rural areas," a multi-disciplinary and multi-year project that has as purpose to investigate the reasons of successes or clarify the difficulties meet by the agricultural policies and those in the development of rural areas in Italy. The project is divided into two phases: the first focused on policies, the second one on the local farming and food systems.
