Immigrati in agricoltura in Italia

Project Manager: Manuela Cicerchia

End Project: Annual

The research project started in the late 1980s through surveys carried out annually on the entire national territory thanks to the support of the regional offices of the INEA.
After collecting a large amount of data, the project "Immigrants in agriculture in Italy", aims to improve the work carried out in 20 years, and complete it with the study and elaboration of topics such as: the analysis of national and Community migratory policies; the relationship between farm work and immigration; examination of the four regional situations in Piedmont, Tuscany, Calabria and Puglia. The first report from this project has been published and it is titled "Gli immigrati nell'agricoltura in Italia" [Immigrants in agriculture in Italy], whereas it is possible to download the results of the annual survey on the use of immigrants in agriculture in Italy with reference to the year 2009.
