This publication provides information on the Lithuanian Presidency, the next Presidency of the European Union for the next 6 months starting from July 2013, on the political agreement reached on CAP reform, on the results acquired with the fisheries reform and on the last meeting on MFF 2014/2020 between the European Institutions.

Other information are related to studies and reports published this month by FAO, OECD, IAO and DG Agri. The monthly newsletter presents briefly two conferences , one organized in Brussels by ERA ARD, EIARD and SCAR on research in agriculture and the other one organized by the EESC in Vilnius on agro-food sector in Europe. Finally, the briefs focus on other issues, such as the cutting to the fund for the most deprived persons and on the food alert system in case of fraud.
