The main objective of the Working Paper "The organic farming in the rural development and the use of the FADN method to calculate the payments of the organic farms" is to provide a starting point of discussion to eventually promote a coordination among Regions in order to foster a greater uniformity in the payments for the organic farming among the RDPs of nearby Regions, but which, nevertheless, show geo-climatic features, technical economic and market characteristics very similar, in order to avoid distorted over-and-under-compensations of the competition among organic producers. 

There is, nevertheless, the willingness in providing some reflection elements on the opportunity of re-thinking of the different agro-environmental instruments adopted by the community rural development policy, in order to achieve a more targeted use of the organic agriculture measure in those contexts where the adoption of such production method could lead to real environmental benefits.
