LA MECCANIZZAZIONE AGRICOLA IN ITALIA Aspetti tecnici, economici, ambientali e sociali

The objective of this volume is to provide a comprehensive framework on the main aspects of agricultural mechanization in Italy, using a multidisciplinary approach. In particular, based on a detailed analysis of the evolution and the current allocation of agricultural machine park, developed using information from the database RICA INEA. 
The study examines in detail some important aspects such as: the comparison between the Italian regions and between Italy and other European countries, the impact of the mechanical work on the soil.

The Italian and European policies to support the mechanization of agriculture, the economic importance of the sector of machinery and its role in the productive results of Italian agriculture, and the issue of safety at work. The issues of the impact of mechanical work on the soil have been discussed considering the strategies and the protective measures implemented at European level,  trying to identify the most damaging practices, as well as those with less environmental impact.

The intervention of agricultural policy in support of agricultural mechanization has been examined by the Second World War until today. The economic importance of agricultural mechanization has been examined taking into consideration both the weight of the manufacturing industry that the role of agricultural machines determining the results of farms. Safety in the workplace has been analyzed on the basis of statistical data and INAIL OECD codes.
