Primi passi con il modello CAPRI - Common Agricultural Policy Regionalised Impacts Analysis

The need for data to support the choices of the policymaker is becoming increasingly important, especially when you want to assess ex-ante the impact of the different measures which can be implemented to achieve a goal of economic policy.

The balance models are one of the tools used to provide information on the potential impacts of policies. In particular, the model CAPRI (Common Agricultural Policy Regionalised Impact analysis) is a model of partial balance and it represents both the EU's agro-food sector and the policies that are connected to it, through the merging of many economic, environmental and social variables at different levels of geographical disaggregation. Its use is therefore of particular interest when it deals with the effects of the Common Agricultural Policy and the scenarios that arise from a change therein.

The purpose of the suggested tutorial is to provide an easy and handy guidebook that allows to take the first steps with the model, illustrating the main features through an in-depth analysis of the structure and the dataset used providing an overview of its key features, starting from installation of the application to the analysis of simulation results.
