INEA carries on the task to raise awareness of young people to the values and traditions of the agricultural world, within the project on "Promotion of rural culture" funded by the Ministry of Agriculture.
On the 16th December , students of the technical agrarian Institute "Giuseppe Garibaldi" of Rome was attended to an agricultural performance of the acting company "Jack and Joe Theatre" of San Casciano Val di Pesa (FI) devoted to rural life beginning from the post-war up to the end of the fifties.

The theatrical performance, which is titled "Was it worse before? Journey into the rural life of the mid-twentieth century", traces the life of a farmer in various times of the year: through the alternation of recitation, readings, songs and popular music performed live on piano and accordion, the actors perform, in an original and enchanting way, the times of the year which have marked the cultivation of the land, from the seeding to the crop.

The event, which is preceded by a brief introduction to the project, aims to promote the social and cultural aspects of agriculture and rural world in the schools. The purpose is to achieve through this and other initiatives such as educational events, seminars, meetings, consolidation of the network of contacts with private and public entities, study and research activities, publications, those nuances and those development prospects on which to focus so as to revitalize the sector and make it more competitive.
