The study activities carried out by Center which aim at drafting reports on the progress of the Italian Food System represent part of the "Macroeconomic and cyclical analysis, and survey on the supply chains" of the Institute. These publications also include an in-depth sectorial analysis which is oriented both in the analysis of the structure and in the performance of markets, as well as the analysis of the functioning of the supply chains.

There are monographs devoted to the study of vertical and/or horizontal relation existing between the actors within the different production chains, in addition to the traditional economic analysis which is a consequence of an established and regular activity that represents the main institutional component of the activities carried out.

The transmission of the value, the price formation, the development of contractual relations, the sectorial regulation and the analysis of the various instruments of support to the market are all issues of fundamental importance to understand how the new scenarios will affect the national agricultural system.
