The online catalog (OPAC) of library allows searching across multiple access keys (authors, titles, publishers, title words, subjects, thesauruses) that can also be combined with each other. The OPAC allows three gradual levels of search complexity and flexibility:
- Search by lists: allows simple searches on one database field at a time;
- Simple search: Allows search of records on all fields. In the case of multiple terms entered, the search will return only records that contain both terms. The order in which the terms are introduced has no influence.
- Advanced search: allows you to search across multiple fields simultaneously. The search can be made by "filters". By filtering according to type of material, you can narrow your search to monographs, periodicals or articles /perusals, etc. The language filter allows you to search only the titles written in the language selected. The media filter allows you to select the type of physical media of the document which, in addition to the classic book format, could be a CD, videotape, microfilm, etc.;
