About INEA About INEA

Description Description

The National Institute of Agricultural Economics [Istituto Nazionale di Economia Agraria (INEA)] is a public research institution under the surveillance of the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, with legal identity and independent management.

Since 1928, INEA, aligning its activities with the arising needs of the Italian agri-food system, has performed research activities, surveys, analyses and forecasts in the structural and socio-economic sectors of the agri-food, forestry and fishing sectors.

The Institute provides support for the Public Administration in the definition and implementation of support policies for agriculture.

INEA cooperates with the European Commission, Ministries and Regions by providing technical support, monitoring and evaluating structural and market policies.

In addition, INEA releases many publications, some of which are institutional periodicals that analyse the scenario, trend and situation of the agri-food system while others focus on spreading the results of internal research projects.
