"Sustainable Food Systems for Food Security and Nutrition" will be the focus of World Food Day in 2013.
The subject, proposed by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) , aims to raise public awareness around the issue of world hunger according to sustainability issues, including environmental, social and economic aspects.

This year INEA takes part in the celebrations promoting conferences, workshops and papers dealing with the theme of  sustainable development and food security having the purpose of  bringing together policy-makers, organizations, and the research community for an open discussion and experiences sharing.

The many activities proposed by the organizations participating in the official working team of WFD during the 2013 will help in increase the understanding of food security issues on which the Rome-base UN agencies, are engaged.

Towards a sustainable consumption and a sustainable agriculture

E' disponibile on line la sintesi delle relazioni del convegno del 16 ottobre 2013 dal titolo: "Verso un'agricoltura e un consumo sostenibili", organizzato dall'INEA nell'ambito del progetto "Promozione della Cultura Contadina", in occasione della Giornata mondiale dell'alimentazione "Sistemi alimentari sostenibili per la sicurezza alimentare e la nutrizione".
