The INEA regional office for the Piemonte region provides consulting, technical assistance and information in favor of the regional administration and conducts research and surveys through the development of their projects and or participating in projects promoted by other research organizations .

The office  participates in scientific and technical activities promoted by the INEA national office, in the following institutional activities:

Farm Accountancy Data Network (FADN). The office takes care of the operation of the data network in the region under its jurisdiction, by providing the necessary technical and methodological support in all phases of the survey. Provide the selection of companies to that of technical detectors, the collection of business data, and their elaboration for economic analysis .

National Rural Network (NRN). The office provides a constant link between the Ministry of Agriculture, the regional government and other local institutions involved in the implementation of policies for the rural development.

Annual survey on the land market and on immigrants in agriculture. The surveys, carried out by regional contacts, taken from operators in the sector gives a detailed picture of the phenomenon of immigration.

Monitoring expenditure of regional agriculture. The staff of the regional office participate in the collection and classification of data from the regional budget related to the agri-food sector and rural development.
