The INEA regional office for Sicily also participates in the technical and scientific activities conducted by the INEA national office. The office carries out research and investigations through the development of their projects and/or participation in projects promoted by other research organizations. 
The office participates in the scientific and technical activities promoted by the national office. 

Activities:

• Farm Accountancy Data Network (FADN). Operation of the data network in the region, providing the technical and methodological support in all phases of the survey, selection of the companies technicians detectors, and data collection company, and subsequent economic analysis.
• National Rural Network (NRN). The office provides a link between the Ministry of Agriculture, the regional government and other local institutions involved in the implementation of policies for rural development.
• Annual survey on the land market and on immigrants in agriculture. Surveys with experts and operators in the field, carried out by regional contacts.
• Monitoring expenditure Regional Agriculture. Collection and classification of data from the regional budget for the agri-food sector and rural development.
